Swim Squad - Splash

About this program

Giving kids a lifetime of active water enjoyment. Swim Squad is a great introduction to competitive swimming and is designed for kids who are looking for new challenges in the water. Squad members will improve their swimming technique, learn flip turns, how to read a pace clock and build endurance while gaining the benefit and experience of a team environment. Swimmers who attend at least 10 practice sessions earn a Swim Squad t-shirt! For: Pup Squad: Meets M/W afternoon and T/Th morning (choose the days and times that work best for you). For youth who have completed and passed at least one introductory level of Parks and Recreation Stroke School course or are capable of swimming at least 50 meters Front Crawl and 50m Back Crawl without stopping and be able to swim 25m Breaststroke and 25m Butterfly. Otter Squad: Meets M-Th morning (choose the days that work best for you). Designed for those who have previously participated in Swim Squad or a similar program and can swim at least 100m of each stroke (Fly, Back, Breast, and Front Crawl) without flippers and can read and understand instructions. If uncertain about what level to register for, please sign up for a swim evaluation with one of our coaches! Participants must purchase a "Swim Squad Practice Punch Card" in order to attend practices. Rates are as follows: 10-Practice Card $57 or $46 with a City Card. 20-Practice Card $110 or $88 with a City Card. Once a participant has attended at least 10 practice sessions, they will earn a Swim Squad shirt!
