Swim Squad - Practice Sessions

About this program

Our mission is to prepare kids for a lifetime of active water enjoyment. Participants receive a Swim Squad cap, and once a youth has attended at least 10 practice sessions they will earn a Swim Squad shirt on the last day! Choose the day or days that work for you and use the swim squad punch card that you purchase separately to attend the class. Pup Squad: Meets T/Th. For youth who have completed and passed at least one introductory level of Parks and Recreation Stroke School course (Front/Back Crawl or Breast/Fly) or are capable of swimming at least 20 yards Front Crawl and 20 yards Back Crawl without stopping for rest (flippers allowed). Otter Squad: Meets Tu, Wed, Th (choose the days that work best for you). Designed for those who have previously participated in Swim Squad or a similar program and can swim at least 50m of each stroke (Fly, Back, Breast and Front Crawl) without flippers and can read and understand instructions. For advanced Swim Squad Participants: Youth who have participated in Swim Squad or a similar program previously, and who are capable of swim at least 50 m of each stroke (Fly, Back, Breast, and Front Crawl), without flippers, and can read & understand instructions. Swimmers are separated by skill levels. Please Note: While there is no fee to register for Swim Squad, patrons must purchase a Swim Squad Practice Punch Card. 10 or 20 visit bundles may be purchased at the Currents Front Desk. Rates are as follows: These cards are used for Swim Squad Practices only; they do not expire and can be used at Splash and Currents practices. 10-Practice Card $55 or $44 with a CityCard 20-Practice Card $105 or $84 with a CityCard Ages 7+ Just for fun swim meet (May 14th).
