University of Montana Open Championship and Festival

The Inaugural UM Open Championship & Festival combines competitive golf with a campus-wide festival experience. Free and open to all UM students, employees, alumni and anyone else who considers themselves a Griz. There will be two tournaments you can register for; a fun 2-person Festival Scramble with prizes, or a competitive UM Open Championship with prizes, and live coverage on ESPN Montana. And a $10,000 Hole-in-One cash prize for anyone that hits a hole in one on the 5th hole.

For those that don't play golf there will be the U104.5 Party Island, the UC Carnival, food, music, games, and campus partners from across the University. More than just a golf tournament, it's a celebration of Grizzly pride that brings students, employees, alumni, and the Missoula community together for one unforgettable day. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best golf outfit, festival attire or Griz gear!

Tournament Details - There will be two separate tournaments you can register for, the Festival Scramble or Open Championship (Proper golf attire is required for all players - collard shirts, close toed shoes, no jeans. Must provide your own clubs.)

Carnival

The UC Carnival is a free, all-day attraction designed to make the UM Open Championship & Festival a true campus-wide celebration. Hosted by the University Center, the carnival will feature interactive games and activities for students, employees, families, alumni, and community members.

U104.5 Party Island

Located near Holes 2, 5, and 8, the Party Island will feature high-energy carnival games and activities alongside the live broadcast, music, and food and beverage service. Bring the energy with friendly heckling and cheering while your peers try to get a hole-in-one or a birdie (you will be rewarded for their success)!

The Party Island will also remain the home of the festival's signature promotions:

• Birdie Celebration: $1 off beverages for 10 minutes after every birdie on Holes 2, 5, or 8.
• Hole-in-One Celebration: If a player records a hole-in-one on Hole 2 or Hole 5, Campus Dining will provide free beverages to everyone at the U104.5 Party Island.
