About this event
The University of Montana Herbarium is the largest natural history collection on campus with over 135,000 specimens of dried plants and fungi. On this tour you will learn about how the Herbarium was founded on campus, its history, and how specimens are processed and curated into the collection. Tour participants will get to view different types of collections, i.e. vascular plants, fungi, lichens, mosses, algae, diatoms, and more.
This event is held on the 3rd floor of the Natural Sciences building in room 303/302 *This building does not have ADA access due to the collection being in a used classroom for the semester, we are not able to move the collection as students will be using this on Friday for their studies. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause if you wanted to attend this event and are unable to due to no ADA access.
To attend this event you must sign up at the check in table.
